MauritaVie - Distribution of clean drinking water

To face the increasingly poor access to clean drinking water, MauritaVie, set up by OLVEA Mauritania’s employees, has carried out a water distribution campaign in Nouadhibou (Mauritania), where access to drinking water is a daily concern for thousands of people. According to the UNICEF, only 6 out of 10 people have access to drinking water in Mauritania.

With the help of a tank truck, 50 underprivileged households were supplied with drinking water, thus benefiting from 50,000 liters of water. Given the overall difficulties of rural populations, MauritaVie has also donated 50 solidarity baskets of basic foodstuffs (pasta, rice, sugar, flour, condensed milk, oil, tea, dates) and hygiene products (bleach and soap).

These campaigns were a success thanks to the strong mobilization and involvement of the volunteers of the MauritaVie association!
